Eva Allain Boudreau, 94, of Moncton and formerly of Dieppe,
passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at the Villa du Repos. Born
in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Urbain
“Roubine” and Annie (Richard) Allain.
Prior to her retirement, Eva was a jeweler and gemologist for
27 years in Florida. She was a member of St. Bernard parish and a
member of the American Gem Society and the Gemological Institute of
America.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Boudreau (Rainald
Dumaresq) of Bathurst; one son, Robert Boudreau (Jaimie Jung) of
California, USA; one daughter-in-law, Lillian Johnson of
Massachusetts, USA; three grandchildren: Michael, Gregory and Nanette;
two great-grandchildren: Shane and Eric; one sister, Yvette LeBlanc
(late Norman) of Fredericton; two sisters in-law: Anida Allain of
Memramcook and Marianne Allain of Florida, USA; as well as several
nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Camille Boudreau; one stepson, Charles Boudreau; one grandson, Andrew;
seven brothers: Néri, Yvon, Royal, Joseph, Laurie and
infants Valmond and Yvon.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Saturday
April 29 from 2 to 4 pm with a sharing of memories at 3 pm. Interment
will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Eva, a
contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be
appreciated.
