Metzger, Ethen Ryan
March 7, 1978 – May 21, 2023
It is with great sadness, we announce that Ethen passed away at Grand River Hospital on Sunday, May 21 2023 in his 45th year.
Beloved son of Maryanne and Dennis Metzger and a dear brother to Riley (Becky). He will be deeply missed by his nephew Izaiah and nieces Gloria and Grace. Devoted grandson to Shirley Bratherton.
Precious grandson of the late Edwin and Mary Ann Metzger, Walter and Doretta Bratherton.
Ethen will always be remembered for his love of fishing. As a fan, he enjoyed supporting the winners in major league baseball and hockey. Playing the lottery was a given, but his true passion was video games.
Special thanks to Maria Boehm, Yessmean Elrafih and Joanne Zimmerman whose support was priceless. Many thanks, to the village of caregivers whose help was a blessing and lightened our load. We appreciate all the prayers given for Ethen and our family.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on June 4, 2023, 1:00 – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to a reception in the Fireside Reception Room following the service.
Cremation will have taken place and a private family interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family and donations to Toronto Sick Kids Hospital or Grand River Hospital may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S. Waterloo at www.erbgood.com
