Horst, Esther (Brubacher)
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2023 at the age of 86 years.
Beloved wife of Edwin Horst for 66 years. Dear mother of Arlene (Melvin) Martin, Richard Horst, Murray (Sharon) Horst, Stuart (Sue) Horst, Rosemary (Jeffrey) Wagler, and daughter-in-law Lois Horst. Fondly remembered by 14 grandchildren; Darcy (Carol) Martin, Rose Ella (Lance) Frey, Lori Lynn Martin, Julianna Martin, Michael (Tabatha) Horst, Michelle (Laverne) Metzger, Amanda (Eugene) Bauman, Rhonda (Matthew) Horst, Jeremy (Mary) Horst, Emily (Trevor) Diefenbacher, Glenda (Kendall) Bauman, and Cynthia Horst. Sister of Phyanna (Ralph) Reibel, Selina (Howard) Gingrich, Cleason (Ina) Brubacher and sister-in-law Marion Brubacher.
Predeceased by her parents Ephraim and Viola (Gingrich) Brubacher, daughters Velorous (2006) and Doreen in infancy, grandson Dale Horst in infancy, brothers Alvin (Velina) Brubacher, and Melvin Brubacher, two sisters and one brother in infancy.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, 3745 Herrgott Rd, Hawkesville.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery.
