Ernest Kenneth Swimm of Clarks Harbour passed away May 2, 2023 at Bay Side Home, Barrington. Ernest was born at Doctors Cove on December 6, 1953. He lived his entire life at Clarks Harbour. He worked at Connors Brothers, Clarks Harbour for a number of years, he worked for Canada Post for 27 years, delivering the mail on Cape Sable Island and he operated the gas station in Clarks Harbour under the Shell and later XTR name as well as video rentals. Ernest was an avid Blue Jays fan and enjoyed watching hockey as well as basketball. Ernest was predeceased by brother, Theadore (Teddy); father, Clifford Aubrey; and mother, Orley Nevera (Chetwynd). He is survived by brothers, Cecil (Peggy), Douglas (Patty); nephew, Christopher; aunt, Mary lou Stoddard, Connecticut; as well as numerous cousins. Ernest has been cremated, visitation will take place at H M Huskilsons Funeral Home, Barrington, on Friday May 5, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A grave side service for family members will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Bay Side Home, Barrington or a charity of your choice.
