It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sweet mother, Emily L. Gosse who passed on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre at the age of 86 years.
Predeceased by her life partner John King; parents Thomas and Susan Mallard; and her 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Leaving to mourn with fond memories, her children: Jim, Barbara (Ellery, deceased), Ernie (Julie), and Darlene (John); grandchildren: Jimmy, Laurie, Jason, Leah, Stephanie, Carter, Corey, Justin and Lexi; step-granddaughter, Jessica; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, Annette (Charlie) and Linda (Reg); and a large circle of family and friends.
The family would like to the staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Center. Special thanks to the Dr. Louise Rogers as well as the nurses and staff of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care and support. The family would like to express sincere gratitude towards the cleaning staff and food servers at the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre for making her time there more pleasant.
Emily was always the life of the party. Everybody loved her. She will be dearly missed and will always be our angel on our mind.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 1 p.m – 4 p.m and 7 p.m – 9 p.m. As Mom’s request, there will be no funeral service. Burial to take place at a later date.
Flowers graciously accepted, or donations in Emily’s memory may be made to the Health Care Foundation.
