Elizabeth (Liz) Carol Wallace (nee Stuart)
December 05, 1946 – May 15, 2023
One thousand children grew up learning how to love learning, all because Elizabeth (Liz) Carol Wallace (nee Stuart) taught primary school grades in Hamilton Ontario for 28 years. In 1994 Liz moved to Merrickville Ontario where she tutored children for another 20 years.
She loved laughter, music and numbers, but most of all, Liz took great pleasure in enjoying friends.
Liz passed away on May 15, 2023 following complications from heart disease. She was 76 years old.
Liz is survived by her husband Garth Wallace, brother Robert Stuart, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews across Canada and a huge number of friends in southern and eastern Ontario.
Thank you to the staff at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute for their extraordinary efforts to extend Liz’s final days.
A celebration of life and tribute for Liz is being held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the upstairs ballroom of the Baldachin Inn, 111 St Lawrence St, Merrickville, ON.
