Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, St. John’s on Sunday, April 23, 2023, Eliza R. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 91 years.
Predeceased by husband: Chesley; Infant daughter: Cheryl (Keith’s twin); parents: Elizabeth and William Kelloway; sisters: Marion Kelloway and Mary Lillian (Harold) O’Connell; brothers-in-law: Melvin Rose and Samuel Parsons; sister-in-law: Joan Kelloway.
Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Sharon (Herb) Rose, Bristol’s Hope, and Sherri (Marlowe) Best, Harbour Grace; three sons: Keith (Leisa), Halifax, NS, Barry (Sandra), Gander, and Harvey (Debbie), Salmon Cove; nine grandchildren: Cheryl, Gavin (Allison), Ryan (Katrina), Nicole, Chelsea (David), Chris (Jillian), Shannon (Matthew), Tristan, and Cameron; seven great-grandchildren: Cailin, Dylin, Lachlan, Harrison, Nathan, Levi, and Gianni; three sisters: Effie Rose, Salmon Cove, Edith Parsons, CBS, and Jean (Walter) Smith, Mount Pearl; brother: William Kelloway, Salmon Cove; special furry friend Callie Puss; also a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Colin Penney along with all the nurses and staff at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home who provided exceptional care and compassion to Eliza. Special thank you to Penney, with the recreation department.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday, April 25 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Thursday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
