Elfreda Evelyn White (nee Brewer)
January 12, 1927 – April 1, 2023
It is with sadness for us, but joy for her that we announce the passing into God’s presence of our much-loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the age of 96, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
Mom was born in Millville, New Brunswick, the only daughter – with three brothers – to Forrest and Alberta Brewer. Mom’s daughter Carol and husband Rev. Paul Robinson were with her as she made her final journey.
Mom was Grandma to eight grandchildren and Nana to twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Leon (1997), her son Leslie (2004), her son Donald (2019), and her granddaughter Heather and great grand-baby Emily (2005), as well as by her three brothers, Ernest, Harold and Albert.
Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg. There will be a family graveside service later in April in Smiths Falls, Ontario, where Mom will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Leon.
Carol and Paul would like to thank Dr. Abdalla and the Nurses and PSWs at TDMH who looked after Mom with such tender loving care, as well as Dr. Roth who looked after Mom ever since she and Dad moved to Tillsonburg 29 years ago.
