Obituary
Eleanor Louise (Burlock) Sherwood, 78, of Berry Mills, NB, passed away on January 16, 2023, at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton after a lengthy illness.
Born in Berry Mills, she was the daughter of the late Mamie (Trites) and Earl Burlock. Eleanor was an active community member who was always ready to help others. She was a member of New Hope Community Church and previously Berry Mills Baptist Church. She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.
Eleanor is survived by daughters JoAnn Alberstat (Mark), Dartmouth, NS; Jennifer Boutilier (Richard), Lawrencetown, NS; son Todd (Andrea), Pennfield, NB; grandchildren, Becka, Warren, Amelia and Quincy; sisters Janet Barton (Robert), Donna Colpitts (Peter), Nancy Burlock; brothers Henry Burlock and Stewart Burlock; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Sherwood in 2009; sisters Barbara Milner and Linda Barron; sisters-in-law Florence Burlock and Mardi Burlock; and brother-in-law Jim Barron.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate and Honour Eleanor’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 am. Reception will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Berry Mills, in the spring.
