It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eleanor Clouter of Fortune announces her passing. Eleanor passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, at the age of 61.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Raymond of 37 years; sisters, Liz (Peter) Stacey, Bertha (Junior) Snook and Arlene; brother, Chesley (Sarah); sister-in-law, Jan (Paul) Pike and Ella (Roy) Simms; brothers-in-law, Allan Guy (Marilyn) and Christopher (Tracey); special friend, Sylvia Hillier; Uncle, Ralph (May) Douglas and her fur baby, Daisy; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
A special thank-you to the ICU staff at St. Clare’s Hospital, the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre and Sarah Hillier for all her help in the past few weeks.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Sarah Hillier; brothers, Isaac, Johnny and Chesley; parents-in-law, Allan and Amelia Clouter; and sister-in-law, Beverly Leighton.

Prayer service will take place place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Fortune on Wednesday, July 5th at 8:00pm.
Funeral Service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Fortune on Thursday, July 6th, 2023 at 11:00 am.
In keeping with Eleanor’s wishes cremation will follow.
Interment to follow at a later date in the Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank.
In Eleanor’s memory donations may be made to the family, no flowers by request of the family.
