Elaine Rector, soon to be 93 years old in September, of
Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday August 20,
2023. Born in New Glasgow, NS, she was the daughter of the late John
and Margaret Findlay.
Prior to her retirement, Elaine worked for numerous years at
Palace Grill restaurant.
She is survived by two sons: Morris (Donna) and Sheldon;
daughter, Carol Henderson (Doug); daughter-in-law, May Close; several
grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Milton (Catherine);
sister-in-law, Joyce Findlay; as well as several nieces, nephews and
extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Dara (2022); one daughter, Marlene Beavers; two sons: Charles
and Kenneth; one sister, Evelyn Thompson; two brothers: Burton and
Elmer; one step-brother, Sandy MacDonald.
In accordance to Elaine’s wishes, there will be no
visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be
held at Elmwood Cemetery in Moncton. In memory of Elaine, a
contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation would
be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of
Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton
