Elaine Alma Phillips (nee Warner)
Passed away peacefully while sleeping after visiting with many family and friends at Kemptville District Hospital on September 11th, 2023. Elaine, in her 70th year, beloved wife and best friend of Benny Phillips for 30 years. Loving mother of Jeremy Stewart (Candice), Blue Stewart (Nicole), Katrina Bellefeuille (Shane Mann) and Shane Pich-Phillips (CeCe). Special Grandma/Nana to Nicole, Kara, Paisley, Violet, Ashton, Nick, Anthony, Wynter & Sovann. Dear daughter of the late Hilton & Dorothy Warner (nee MacMillan). Dear sister of Barbara Watson, sister-in-law to Roy Watson and aunt to Brodie and Callie.
Elaine was an amazing friend to all, and mother of many who needed support. Referred often as “the Queen”, her home was, and still is, a hive of activity where family, friends, and friends of her children could always call home themselves. Spare bedrooms were seldomly unoccupied, and her heart opened to all who knew her. Elaine and Benny spent much time living the best life in the sun, either at home with the pool, or in tropical destinations with friends and family. After marrying Benny in 2000, Elaine spent the rest of a happy life with the love of hers, and her children couldn’t be prouder of the man she married and the life they made.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 805 Prescott Street on Friday September 22, 2023 from 6 – 8 PM.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 24th from 1 – 5 PM at the Kemptville Legion (100 Reuben Crescent, Kemptville). A special thanks to Sylvie, Leslie, Dawn and Dave for graciously donating their time, resources and food towards the Celebration of life. Donations to the Kemptville District Hospital gratefully accepted.
