Edward W. Houghton age 60 of Horseheads, NY passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital on Tuesday February 7, 2023 . He was born August 11, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Charles Joseph and Grace Lemke Houghton. Edward received his Bachelor’s Degree as well as his MBA Degree from Binghamton University . He married his wife, Rebecca A. Packard Houghton, on June 17, 1988 and they would have celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary on June 17, 2023. Edward had worked for Sikorsky Aircraft and the became a Project Manager for Corning, Inc. and was presently employed by The Horseheads Central School Department of Transportation . Edward was pre-deceased by his mother Grace Lemke Houghton on January 10, 2021 and his brother-in-law Chris Packard. He loved Bike Riding and Racing and Mountain Climbing as well as woodworking. Edward was a member of The Church of Latter-Day Saints in Horseheads, NY. He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Rebecca ; his beloved children : W. Blake P. and Cassie Houghton of Horseheads,NY , David E.W. Houghton of Horseheads, NY , Michael A.T. And Silka Houghton of Rochester, NY, Alene M. Houghton-O’Connell and Kyle O’Connell of New Jersey , and Rachel F. Houghton-Ross and Josh Ross of Ticonderoga, NY ; his cherished grandchildren: Charlette Houghton, Xander Houghton, and Aria Houghton , Albert Houghton , Marcus Ross , and Penelope Ross; father: Charles Joseph Houghton ; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ellen Houghton Clay and Brent Clay and Emily Houghton Gast and Richard Gast ; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ann and Dan Keefe , Lauri and John Barger , Rebecca (Mrs. Chris) Packard, and Casey and J Allen; several nieces , nephews , cousins and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday February 18, 2023 from 10 to 11 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 1060 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY.
