Edward (Ted) Solomon, November 3rd, 1943 – March 27th, 2023
Life’s journey has come to an end after a very long battle with M.S. which he never gave in to.
Growing up in the small village of Killarney Ontario made him a very strong and proud person, finding work on the Lake ships at an early age and eventually working his way up to Captain of the Incan Superior and now sailing in the sky of heaven.
His pride and joy was his family. Married for 56 years to the love of his life Dianne (née Croft), and together they had three children, Terry (Monique), Connie (Dennis) and Jason and he was grandfather to Trevor, Benjamin, Nicolas and Keira.
He is also survived by his brothers Jim (Carolyn), Len (Marie) and Greg (Laurie) and his many nieces and nephews. Edward is predeceased by his Father Ferdinand and Mother Merle (née Oakes), and siblings Terry, Gerry and Cheryl and his nephew Kevin.
The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the incredibly caring and patient staff of Providence Manor who looked after him, especially the 4th floor Montreal team.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial donations may be made to Providence Manor (via University Hospitals Kingston Foundation and specify Providence Manor) and the M.S. Society of Canada.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
