Edward Cooke
June 20, 1953 – January 13, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Joseph Cooke announce his sudden passing at the age of 69 on Friday morning at the Health Sciences Centre.
Predeceased by his father George, mother Eileen and brother Anthony.
Edward will be deeply missed by sisters Theresa Cumming (Hugh) and Anne Cooke; brothers Philip (Bernice) and Chris (Joan) Cooke; nephews Travis and Matthew Chapman and Stephen Cooke; nieces Christina and Georgina Cooke and Sarah Upwards; and extended family and friends across Canada, including Sandra Cooke, Paula and Dean Brinson and Gary Stanford.
Edward had a kind and generous heart and was always there to help family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and particularly enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Blackhead.
Special thanks to the Emergency Response Team and the Staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care of Edward.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 2 p.m – 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from St. Teresa’s Church at 11 a.m with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Flowers graciously accepted, or donations in Edward’s name may be made to the Blackhead Museum.
