Dwight Bruce Hermiston, passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on February 12, 2023 at the age of 64 years.
Dwight was born in New Liskeard to Bruce and Joanne Hermiston. Dwight is lovingly remembered by his wife Monica, his mother Joanne, his Aunt Marley, Aunt Bernice, his children Chantelle (Shakeel) and Christopher, their mother Shelley, his siblings Laurice (Jennifer) and Rhondda (Paul) and family and friends.
Dwight was a first-class Ice Technician for Curling clubs, but that wasn’t what defined him. His identity was whatever Dwight did he did with passion, dedication and with the sole purpose of making those around him happier. His smile and his hugs left their mark. He spent his last three years, at Sharpe Lake in Temiskaming Shores, renovating the cottage, forging trails, savoring nature and being the happiest person on earth, living the dream.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Sunday February 19th, with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00pm followed by the celebration at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Temiskaming Hospital.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ryan Sayer, Dr. Spencer Wilson, all nurses and staff as well as the Sudbury Cancer Centre, all gave the upmost of care.
