We sadly announce the passing of Douglas Wayne Schneider on April 19th 2023.
Doug was born on December 19th 1941 and was raised in Rossland BC.
He attended Rossland Secondary and after graduating highschool he spent several years in the army. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion as well as the Army and Navy Club.
After returning from the army he married the love of his life Linda Diane Mitchell on April 19th 1968. They moved to New Westminister whete Doug began the geomatics program at BCIT and he began his carreer as a surveyor.
Doug loved to travel and he traveled extensively for both work and play. He spent time in Afghanistan, South East Asia and India.
Doug leaves behind his children, Michael Clayton Schneider and Jodi Kathleen Schneider, as well as his 4 grandchildren,
Tianna Schneider, Kelly Schneider, Joshua Nelson and Emily Schneider.
Doug’s most favorite things were friends, family, fishing, golfing and beer.
He will be sadly missed by many.
