Obituary of Douglas Irvine
Peacefully at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, Douglas Irvine of Dalkeith passed away at the age of 80. Beloved son of the late Ian Irvine and the late Sara MacLeod. Loving brother of Stewart. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy. Fondly remembered by his many cousins and their families. Douglas was a dedicated and long time member of the Bytown Railway Society and the Dalkeith Historical Society. He was the family historian and had a passion for genealogy.
Relatives and friends may visit on Monday, August 7,2023 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. at Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 11 am at the Breadalbane Baptist Church, Dalkeith. Interment Breadalbane Cemetery, Dalkeith. A reception will follow at the Dalkeith Recreation Association Hall, 1865 Dalkeith Road, Dalkeith.
In memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Glengarry Pioneer Museum would be appreciated. To express your condolences or make a donation please click the tab on the side of the page.
