Passed peacefully from this world to the next, at his home in Clarenville on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Douglas Samuel Ralph Small, aged 88 years, formerly of Moreton’s Harbour.
Predeceased by three unborn/ preterm babies, his parents Cyril & Clara (nee Boyd) Small, his parents-in-law Chesley & Hazel (nee Elliott) Pelley, brothers Elmer (Gladys), Melvin (Jean) and sister-in-law Marion (Roy).
Left with wonderful memories are his loving wife of 60 years Phyllis, children Brian (Sheila), Lynn (Mark), Joy (Louis), grandchildren Jeffrey (Michelle), Jamie, Andrew, Robyn, Amy, Ian, great-grandchildren Sawyer, Hunter and Faith. Also his beloved brother Roy (Doreen), sister-in-law Shirley Jenkins, Gladys Small, Florence Gillard, brother-in-law Fred (Chris) Pelley, home care worker Sylvia Little and a large number of nephew, nieces, cousins and friends.
His faith has become sight !
Resting at his much loved Moreton’s Harbour United Church on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. All who knew him and loved him are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to The Janeway Children’s Hospital.
