Douglas Howard “Doug”
Kennedy – 81, Truro,
passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Colchester East
Hants Health Centre, Truro, following an illness with cancer. Born in
Bible Hill, he was the son of the late Elmer and Edna (Dartt)
Kennedy.
Doug is survived by his wife, Faye (Cross); daughter, Patti
Kennedy (Larry Hiles), Truro; sisters, Judy Fraser, Truro; Helen
Bates, Bible Hill; brother, Bruce (Sheila) Kennedy, Bible
Hill.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Scott
Kennedy; sister, Carol (Merlin) Turner.
Special thanks are extended to the paramedics, nurses and
doctors who cared for Doug while in the hospital.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, March 23,
2023, at St. John’s Anglican Church, 25 Church Street, Truro, The
Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. Reception to follow in Kaulbach
Hall. Spring interment in Terrace Hill Cemetery. If so desired,
donations in Doug’s memory to St. John’s Anglican
Church are welcomed.
