GEISLER, Douglas Herbert
Passed away peacefully with his beloved wife at his side in the early hours of Monday, July 17, 2023, at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Douglas was born 80 years ago, a son of the late Henry and Melinda (Russel) Geisler.
Douglas will be forever missed by his loving wife Dolores “Dolly” (Rantz) Geisler whom he cherished 54 years of marriage with. Remembered by his brother William and his wife Gayle Geisler, sister Carolyn Vis, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Maureen Deighton, Bernice (Normand) Leclair, Earla (Lloyd) Solmes, Nancy Rantz and Weldon (Norma) Rantz. He will be deeply missed by his furry bestfriends, his cat Brassie and by his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers-in-law Mel Vis and Len Deighton.
Doug had a love for being outdoors. He was an avid golfer and his last wish was to beable to go out on the green and just beable to sit on the cart with his buddies, unfortunately that wish was not able to be fulfilled. Doug enjoyed many other sports and cheered on Hockey, Football and baseball from the comfort of his home on the tv. Doug enjoyed his social time while coaching Broom Ball. Doug loved living on their farm located on Bean Road, and he and Dolly housed and rescued ponies.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal service at this time.
