It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dorothy Pauline Haskell of St. Lawrence, NL, passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Hospital on September 12th, 2023, at the age of 97.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories are her sons: Max Haskell (Christina) of Cold Lake, AB, Gus Haskell of St. Lawrence, Frank Haskell (Evelyn) of St. Lawrence, Harold Haskell (Cathy) of St. Lawrence, Walter Haskell (Donna) of River Herbert, NS, Brian Haskell (Laurie) of St. Lawrence, and Stan Haskell (Yvonne) of Winterland, NL; daughters: Lorraine Strang of Lawn, NL, Judy Fitzpatrick of St. Lawrence, Ivy Haskell (Michael) of St. Lawrence, and Nora Pike (Roger) of St. Lawrence; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Bertha House of St. Lawrence; and sister-in-law, Elsie Haskell of Marystown, NL; plus a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Haskell; parents, William and Julia Pike; grandson, Robin Fitzpatrick; brothers: Stanley Pike, Ruben Pike, Newman Pike, and Howard Pike; and sisters: Mildred Goobie, Rita Fawcett; and Laura Burry.
The Haskell family will be accepting visitors at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in St. Lawrence at a time to be announced. A Funeral Service and Interment will also take place from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church at a time to be announced.
In Dorothy’s memory flowers are gratefully accepted.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Homes – Marystown.
