Dorothy B. Gillis of Monarch Hall, Riverview, N.B. passed
away quietly on March 6, 2023 at the age of 102, just short of her
103rd birthday on April 3, 2023.
Dorothy was retired from the Dept. of Public Works as a
receptionist and telephone operator.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lois B. Drew (Bill) of
Saint John; sister, J. Elaine Robinson of Oak Bay; step-children,
Murray Wilson (Elaine) of Ontario, Linda Power (late Paul) of Moncton,
Bob Fougere (late Sam Wilson) of Halifax and George Gillis Jr.
(Emalie) of Moncton; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren and
great- great- grandchildren, also by several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, F. Harold Wilson;
second husband, Rev. George N. Gillis of Fredericton, NB;
brothers, Robert H., George and Donald Delaney; sister, Audrey and
brother-in-law Joe Ciccanti of Montreal; brother-in-law, David C.
Robinson of Oak Bay, NB; step-son Sam Wilson of
Halifax.
The family would like to thank the staff of Monarch Hall for
their exceptional care and compassion given to Dorothy.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 404
Cleveland Ave, Riverview, NB, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 12:30pm
until 1:45 pm with funeral service to follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Steve
Berube officiating.
Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later
date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of
the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, NB.
