Obituary of Doris Isabelle MacRae
Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 the death occurred of Doris Isabelle MacRae (nee Gillis) of Belfast, age 85 years.
Loving mother of Roger (Wendy) and Susan MacRae (Chris Profit). Cherished grandmother of Robbie (Kayla Wood), Beth, Sarah (Nolan McCarthy) and Christopher. Doris will be missed by her siblings Florence MacPherson (John) and Dan Ross (Reta). Predeceased by her husband Alexander “Sandy” Ross MacRae and siblings Edwin Gillis (Viola), Velma Murphy (Ken) and Shirley Morrison (Gordon).
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Belfast. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made online to MS Society or the Alzheimers Society.
