Obituary
Doreen Caroline Gardiner, age 100, formerly of Rostock and Cromarty passed away peacefully at Spruce Lodge on April 3, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Miller Gardiner who predeceased her in 1993. Doreen was predeceased by her parents Henry and Eva (Doerr) Eggert, brother Earl Eggert (Marjorie), Alex’s four siblings, father-in-law and mother-in-law David and Margaret (Hackney) Gardiner. Doreen is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Spruce Lodge for their many years of great care of Doreen. Visitation will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, April 13, from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow.
