Finlayson, Doreen Ann (nee
Docherty)
Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the age
of 86. Doreen was born in Montreal, QC on April 11, 1936, daughter of
Alexander Docherty and Gwendolyn Docherty (nee Mullins). She was
predeceased by her husband of 55 years, John Donald Finlayson in 2014.
Doreen was the proud and loving mother of John (Bev), Steve (Theresa)
Peter (Jen), cherished grandmother of Ian, Kate, Abby, Gavin
(Brittney), Kelsey and dear sister of Gilbert Docherty. She
will be fondly remembered for her spirited nature and love
of family.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at
Royal Terrace in Palmerston, ON and at the Heritage River in Elora, ON
for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place and the family has had a private
service. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer
Society of Ontario would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to
