Obituary of Donnie Wilson
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Donnie Burton David Wilson after a brief but courageous battle with a very aggressive cancer on September 25, 2023 in his 70th year. Left to mourn his loss is his wife, best friend and soulmate for over 35 years, Rosalie (Rose) Wilson. Also survived by sons Tony (Alisha), Chris, Angela (Dean), Donnie (Amanda), Candice, as well as Rose’s children, Marion (Brian) and Shawn. Survived by his mother Helen and his siblings Wayne (Nancy), Donna (Roger), Elwin (Cindy), Dale, Roger (Robin), Dean (Debbie). Donnie was predeceased by his father Clifford, granddaughter Mackenzie, in-laws Arthur and Mildred, as well as his grandson Travis whom he and Rose raised. Also survived by grandchildren Zachary, Brittany, Zackery, Dawson, Skylar, Nicholas, Ariel, Desseray, Liam, Jeremy, Auston, Owen, Tyson, Keira, Conor, Leviticus, Lucas, Genesis, great grandchildren Melody, Sebastian, Alexander and Axel as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles and many friends. Donnie and Rose were fortunate enough to be able to make one last trip to the Maritimes to visit and say goodbye to their very good friends Lloyd Fudge, Howard and Corinne Moore and Judy and Neil Walsh.
A special thank you is extended to those who helped and cared for Donnie, including Dr. Melissa Kelly, Dr. Sawyer Bonin, Bayshore staff, 2nd floor nurses and doctors, friends and family.
Donnie’s private arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. In remembrance and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to CHEO Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Ottawa.
