The passing of Donna Elaine McMinniman of Fredericton, NB, wife for over 59 years, Wayne Eldon McMinniman, occurred on February 25, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, peacefully surrounded by her family. Born on October 27, 1939 in Summerfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Magaret (Antworth) and Frank Longstaff.
Donna and Wayne loved to travel, especially winter in Florida. She was an avid reader. Donna was an active member of the Salvation Army Church, she had great faith and always enjoyed helping others, even at her time at York Care Center. In her younger years, Donna was a bank teller at the Bank of Nova Scotia and retired to look after her family.
Besides her husband, Wayne, Donna is survived by her son Kevin McMinniman (Margo) and daughter, Tanya Arseneault; granddaughter, Starr McMinniman; special family friend, Peter. sisters-in-law, Myrna Henry (Alton), Jill Kierstead (Carl) and Kathy Baird (Denny), several, aunts uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Natalie Lynn.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. The Celebration of life will take place at The Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church, 531 St. Mary’s Street, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm. The Salvation Army Frederiction Community Church will live stream the service on their facebook page for those who can not attend the service. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to The Salvation Army Fredericton would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
