Peacefully at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, surrounded by her family, on Monday July 3rd, 2023, Mrs. Donna Peel of Chatham passed away in her 91st year. Cherished daughter of the late Terry and Stella Moon. Beloved wife of John (2011). Loving mother of Brenda Westlake and her husband Dale of Windsor, Robin Peel and his wife Eva, Linda Crow of Chatham, Teri Myers and her husband Dan of Chatham, and Ron Peel of Chatham. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Dale (Sandy) Crow, Steven (Ashley) Crow, Joshua (Melissa) Myers, Jacob (Darah) Myers, Scott (Breanna) Westlake and Jen Westlake. Donna was an amazing great grandmother of Emma Crow, Owen Crow, Llewyen Crow, Harvey Crow, Gavin Westlake and Landon Westlake. Predeceased by her sister Bev Merritt and her brothers Terry, and Ron Moon.
Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Thursday July 6th with visiting from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service for Mrs. Peel will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Friday July 7th at 2:00 pm with Pastor Greg Simpson of St. Andrew’s United Church officiating. Cremation to follow with interment to be held at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society and Providence United Church.
