MANNING, Donna Marian (Corbett) (July 26, 1935 – April 12, 2023)
Passed away, following a courageous struggle with illness, we the family announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Donna Marian (nee Corbett) Manning, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on April 12th, 2023, at the age of 87. Donna was born in Fergus, to Al and Elizabeth (Boys) Corbett. Donna was a member of Avondale United Church, Tillsonburg and for over 25 years was a dedicated member of the Rebekah Lodge. Donna lived through and overcame some serious life challenges which included a serious automotive accident as well as quadruple heart surgery around 2016. Her much-loved husband Ed Manning passed in 1985. Donna was a strong woman, very independent and always resilient. Lovingly remembered her children and families: Sharon Horton (Ken Wilson), of Woodstock, and by Sharon’s children Jay Horton, Robin Horton, and Jenny Horton; Bev (Ronda) Manning, of Princeton and their children Cigi Manning and Derek Manning. Always a proud great-grandmother to Robin’s children Kemper and Kylee and to Derek’s children Maggie and Jake. Caring sister to Roy (Betty) Corbett and Reta (Elmer) Schmidt. Donna also shared a special relationship with Bob Horton, Liz Neumann, Brad Titchner and his daughter, Sophia Titchner. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her siblings Mervin (Joan) Corbett and Fred Corbett.
Friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Tuesday, April 18th, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at Avondale United Church, 60 Harvey St., Tillsonburg. A Funeral Service to Celebrate Donna’s Life will be held on Tuesday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m., at Avondale United Church, by LLWL Susan Barker-James. All funeral attendees are invited to attend a reception, immediately following the funeral service in the church hall. Full burial follows the reception, in Hillview United Cemetery, Woodstock.
