MCLARTY: Donna Irene (nee Douglas) – passed way unexpectedly on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe. Donna McLarty of Walsingham in her 75th year.
Beloved wife of Tom McLarty who she married July 7, 1973. Loving mother of Alice McLarty of Brantford and Gordon McLarty (Amanda) of Blackfalds, Alberta. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Joseph, Hayden, Avery, Kathleen, Iain, Chance and Chantal. Survived by her brother Wayne Douglas of Belwood and sisters-in-law Betty Douglas of Welland and Jean Douglas of Woodland Beach,
Predeceased by her son John Paul McLarty (October 22, 2009), parents Arthur & Irene (Dowling) Douglas, sister Sandra and brothers Kenneth & Sonia Douglas, Barry Douglas, Ronald Douglas and sister-in-law Donna Douglas.
Donna was a member of the Tillsonburg Lions Club, the McDonald Chapter 167 Order of the Eastern Star and the Langton Women’s Institute.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Rd. Port Rowan on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Memorial service will be conducted in the Clark Chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00pm. Inurnment of ashes will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham. Reception to follow a the Walsingham Community Hall.
An Eastern Star Memorial service and a Lions Memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 1:00pm prior to the Memorial Service.
