Donna Cochrane
1944-2023
It is with sadness that the family of
Donna Marie Cochrane, 79 of Salisbury announce her sudden passing on
Saturday June 17, 2023 with Douglas at her side.
Born in Hampstead she was the daughter
of the late Roy and Louisa Gray. Donna retired as store manager from
Rinzler Meats after 58 years of dedicated service. She loved
to spend time with her grand children and great grand children who
were the loves of her life. She was an avid gardener. You
would see her working in the yard from morning to night during the
summer, and she would spend her winters coming up with a
plan for next season. She could be seen putting in many miles walking
around the village, especially the Wetland Trail. Being the
kind soul that she was, animals were a big part of her life. Travel
was also another passion, ranging from day trips to trips
abroad.
She is survived and sadly missed by Douglas, her
husband of over 50 years; her children Mark Golding (Michelle) of
Salisbury, Wayne Golding (Geri) of Salisbury and Kenda
Cochrane-Maddock (Blair) of Ottawa; her grandchildren Melissa Golding
(Nick) of Salisbury, Vanessa Golding (D.J) of Moncton, Alexander
Golding of Fredericton and Billie Maddock of Ottawa; her great grand
children, Marley, Levi, Kya, Colt and Jane; her brother Vernon
Dalgleish (Linda) of Edmonton and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
A time of gathering and celebrating her
life will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 on
Thursday, June 22 from 6-8 p.m. A private interment will be held at
Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
If desired, in memory of Donna, donations to the
People for Animal Wellbeing (SPCA) or any charity of choice would be
appreciated by the family.
