FOSTER, Donald Theodore – May 15th, 1928- July 22nd, 2023
At St. Joseph’s At Fleming, Don Foster entered eternal rest. Beloved husband of the late Ethel Foster (nee Parton). Loving father of the late Gary Foster and Gail (Micheal) Lawson. Devoted grandfather of Lee Lawson, April Lawson (Ryan Ready), Ashley Foster (Ryan O’Connor), Craig Foster and Kevin Foster (Chantelle Giardino). Great Grandfather of Declan, Sylvia, Aiden, Hudson and Leo. Predeceased by his parents Rachel (nee Andrus) and Darcy Foster, brother Bill (the late Betsy) Foster and sisters Lois Barnes and Agnes Howson. Don was a renowned Tool & Die maker and proud employee of both Branson Machine & Tool and Purity Packaging until 1992. For over 30 years, he enjoyed sharpening both hockey and figure skates for the local community. He was a lover of the outdoors; spending his leisure hours fishing, enjoying his cottage and traveling with his wife. Don was a devoted family man and friend. Quiet by nature, he was a deep thinker, who liked to solve mechanical problems. Don’s loyal and steadfast presence will be missed by those who knew him. A Funeral service will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Monday. July 31st, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery. Reception to follow.
