Donald McAllister

Donald James McAllister, of Miramichi, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 78.
Born in Newcastle (Bridgetown), he was the son of the late Flemming and Veronica (McLean) McAllister. Don worked with cars his entire career – he was a mechanic, a manager at various car dealerships, a truck driver, but was best known for his work of restoring antique automobiles in which he took tremendous pride in.
He will be greatly missed by his spouse Ardie; children Holly (Michael), LeeAnn (Ben), and Steven (Deanna); grandchildren
Samantha, Sara, Sydney, and Taylor; great granddaughters Charleigh and Rylin; sisters Veronica Jean Blair, and Joanne White (Keith); brothers Bernard (Amy), Allen, Sterling, Joe (Marg), and Gerald; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Dean; sisters Beverly, Agnes, Patricia, Denise, Eleanor, Linda, and Marlene; and brothers Jack and Vaughn.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the J. Dean McAllister Memorial Bursary through the Miramichi Schizophrenia Society or a memorial of one’s choice.
