Obituary
Don Chidlow passed away peacefully July 8, 2023, at the Southampton Care Centre two days before his 83rd birthday.
Beloved husband of his late wife Margaret, he leaves behind his daughter Christy (Derek), his son Glen (Rachel), 5 beautiful grandchildren that he loved very much, his late brother Derry and his two sisters Betty and Wendy.
Despite loving the time he spent living in Ontario, his heart was always in BC where he was born and where he spent his retirement years until his wife passed.
Don loved travelling, especially his fishing trips and in later years became an avid baker who loved supplying his family, friends and neighbours with homemade treats. He always had a joke to tell and knew how to put a smile on the faces of everyone around him.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at the Southampton Care Centre and also Hampton Court for supporting and caring for Don over the last few years. As per Don’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
