Obituary of Diane Marie Organ
Diane Marie (McFarlane) Organ – 71, of Halifax, passed away at home Saturday April 15, 2023 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her son, Bill (Ingrid Paliukaite); daughter, Shari (Alex Durant); two grandchildren, Danielle and Shawn Sabine; one great grandson, Flynn; several nieces and nephews who she adored. Diane was predeceased by her husband, John Willian “Bill” in 2018.
She spent her career in the printing industry working at Allen Print for many years. When she retired her focus shifted to enjoying her time walking, reading and going to the dances at the Legion.
Mom loved her Sunday night Bowling League Family in Spryfield and her Goodwood Girls life long friends. They brought so much joy to her. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our family and friends who where such an amazing support to all of us during this past year.
Special thanks to her doctors at the Cancer Center for guiding her through her treatments with so much care. Dr. Lamond, Nurse Courtney and Dr. Wilkie. Palliative Care Nurse Nick for the extraordinary care of our entire family during Mom’s final days.
Arrangements are in the care of J. Albert Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 21st, 2023 at 12 pm.
Reception to follow at the Spryfield Legion.
Interment to take place at a later date.
