Diane Elizabeth Wills (nee Baker)
Passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at the age of 80.
Loving mom of Shelle Wills and Tracy Wills (Kevin). Beloved oma of Gavin Wills-Drury (Danicca), Sullivan Wills-Drury (Mackenzie), also known as oma to Hunter LaPointe. Cherished sister of Rick Baker (Barb), David Baker and Susan Boudreau (John). Cherished aunt of Kim Baker, Laura (Rob) with Mackenzie, Kylie, Allie, Chloe, Mila and Maksim, Joe (Ashley) with Dominic, Aria and Avery, Jennifer and Ricky with Will, Michelle with Kaylee and Kandace , Bradlee (Jenna) with Aidan, Jeremy (Amy) with Carter and Vanessa, David (Gabriela) with Mathias, Charlotte with Sienna.
Diane was born April 5th, 1943 in Chatham, Ontario to Joseph and June Baker. Diane was the oldest of 4 children and grew up in Chatham until she met Don Wills and started life on the farm in Harwich Township. After parting ways with Don she moved into town and worked for Family Service Kent for many years. She enjoyed ceramics, needle point, making jams, crafts and letting dust collect on her treadmill. In her later years Diane struggled with Alzheimer’s Disease eventually moving to Good Samaritan Seniors Complex in Alliston. The staff at Good Sam’s were wonderful to her, always ensuring she was well cared for.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Drury Funeral Centre, 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Saturday, June 10th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with family memories shared at 4:30 p.m. Since Diane loved Hawaii please wear a Hawaiian shirt if you have one, if not casual dress attire is welcome.
If so desired memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
