Remembering Dennis
Dennis Murray Tattrie – 82, passed away April 17, 2023 at home. Born in Tatamagouche, he was the son of the late Lloyd S. and Margaret (Patriquin) Tattrie.
Dennis was a man with a huge heart and kind soul, his generosity and compassion towards others was given freely. He was a huge presence in the community, volunteering for many associations within the village and surrounding communities.
He was a provincial government employee and volunteer fire fighter with the Lakeside Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years. Dennis was an avid outdoors man who hunted and fished up until the time of his death. He will be deeply missed and will live on forever in our heart. Dennis would love it if you completed an act of kindness for a someone special in your life.
He is survived by his sons, Wayne (Melissa), Halifax, Evan (Tracey), Stillwater Lake; grandchildren, Valentina (Nate), Atanda (Jeff), Kerri – Ann and Brooklyn; step grandchildren, Josh, Stevie and Cass; great grandchildren, Braxton and Bryson; sister, Bernice (Kib) Elliott; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Judith Marie (Wilson).
Legion Tribute Service will be conducted on Friday, April 21 at 2pm in Tatamagouche Legion Br. 64, Tatamagouche. Reception and time of celebration will follow the service. Family interment will be held in the Miner’s Cemetery, Malagash. Donations in Dennis’ memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 64, Tatamagouche or to the Miner’s Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
