Denise M. Shaw (Coleman)
Passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home at the Royal Brock Retirement Living on September 7, 2023 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Shaw. Much loved and adored mother of Tom (Arlene) Shaw, Dave (the late Susan) Shaw, and Kelly (Geoff) McVey. Cherished by her grandchildren Jason (Emma) Shaw, Matthew (Leane) Shaw, Vika (Raul) Kaptselava-Shaw, Riley (Stephen) Shaw-Joudoin, Joshua (Kaitlyn) Heffernan, Seth (Jessica) Heffernan, Brad (Kat) McVey, Faith (David) Fargey, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Cherished sister-in-law of Freida (Wayne) Coleman and Gertrude Paul. Denise was predeceased by parents Bertram and Isabel (Murray) Coleman, and her brother Robert Coleman. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family. Denise will be sorrowfully missed by her lifelong friend of 62 years Maureen LeClair and family.
Denise and Ken opened their hearts by sharing their family home on the Rideau Lake with family, friends, and many children of Chernobyl. She was well-respected during her very successful career as Director of Human Resources Canada for Shorewood Packaging. Her gentle soul, wisdom, humour, patience, and friendship will be treasured and greatly missed. A private family interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Garden at a later date.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home Reception Centre, 4 James St. E., Brockville, ON on Thursday, September 14th from 4-7pm.
