1926-2023
Delia Bates, 97, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, April 16,
2023 at her residence. Born in Saint Leolin, she was a daughter of the
late Jean Louis and Hedwidge (Landry) Dugas. She was a cook at
Marshland Inn until her retirement.
Nothing meant more than her children, grandchildren,
great-grand children and family. She always loved to see her nieces,
nephews and any of her family at any or all the time. Delia came from
a very close, unique and loving family. A devoted Catholic, for sure
she is with God. She was loving, giving, kind and
gentle.
She is survived and missed by her children MaryAnn Wells
(Joe), ON, John Mullet (Angie), ON, Carol Bird (Gord), Salisbury,
George Mullet, Chipman and Ken Mullet, ON; brother and sisters
Jeannette (John), Norman (Joyce), Rosella (Wayne) and Roberta (Ivan);
many grandchildren and great grandchilren and several nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by brothers Roger Throop and Luvdger Throop and
sister Evangeline.
There will be a service celebrating Delia’s life at the
Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) on Friday, April
21 at 11 am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating.
If desired, donations in memory of Delia to a charity of
choice would be appreciated.
