It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Debbie Waekens on April 16, 2023 at the age of 65. Debbie was the daughter of the late Charles and Joan Stevens. Dear mother to sons Brett and Scott. Also missed by many friends and extended family. Debbie was a teacher at McNaughton Ave Public School. She was an avid reader and loved animals, especially her dogs, cats and horses. A celebration of life will be taking place on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Active Lifestyle Centre, 20 Merritt Avenue, Chatham, between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Donations in Debbie’s memory can be made to the Chatham Kent Public Library.
