Deborah Anne Sachko passed away at the Monfort Hospital on August 7th, 2023. Debbie, 64, is survived by her sister, Patti, her nieces Sarah (Jay), Christena (Steven), and Janine (Zach); her nephew Scott (Ryan); her great-niece Ruby and great-nephew Silas; and her many cousins. She is pre-deceased by her brother, Edward Raymond, and her parents, Christena (“Sue”) and Edward Sachko.
Despite a life of challenges, Debbie managed to retain a positive outlook. She had a big heart and would always extend a helping hand to others in need. She enjoyed sketching, painting, and story-telling. Before suffering from mobility issues, Debbie loved to walk both at our parent’s home in the country and on the sidewalks throughout the City of Ottawa.
A private service will be arranged in the coming weeks.
A special thank you to the staff and her many friends at Laurier Manor, and to the doctors and nurses at Monfort Hospital for the kindness, care and compassion Debbie received during her time there.
