It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Dawn Beckford of Cordova Mines, on May 8,
2023 at the age of 59 years.
A matriarch in the Beckford family, Dawn will be greatly missed by the love of her life of 45+
years, Gord. She is deeply loved by her daughters, the late Michelle (Gordo), Sara (Jonathan),
Laura (Adrian), and Erin (Ryan).
Proud Gramma to the lights of her life, Andrea (Squigs), Patricia (Bear), Liam (Liamsaurous), and
Lucas (Luker).
Devoted daughter to Dianne and Gary Westlake and the late Murray Byrne and daughter-in-law
to Win and the late Ray Beckford.
Sister to Cathy (Steve), Robyn (Jeff), Mark (Lori), and Megan. Sister-in-law to Tim (Sophie), Bill
(Angela), and Carl (Mary). Bonus sister to Kerri (Todd) and Kelly.
Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Beloved by her countless friends and extended
family.
Dawn’s positive outlook for life and contagious smile and laugh will be greatly missed.
In honour of Dawn’s dedication to community involvement, in lieu of flowers, donations to the
Cordova Mines Recreation Association are greatly appreciated.
The family will be welcoming visitors at Rushnell Funeral Home at 9 Bursthall Street, Marmora.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.
Service will take place on Tuesday, May 16 at 1 p.m. with a reception following at the Cordova
Mines Recreation Centre.
Cremation will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Peterborough Regional Health Care Dialysis Unit.
