David H. Gillis
1959 – 2023
David Hartigan Gillis, husband of Linda Gillis of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 11, 2023, at the age of 64.
Born in Dorchester, NB, on February 9, 1959, he was the son of the late David and Frances (Henry) Gillis. He was Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Goguen) Gillis; two sons: Edward Gillis (Ki Wright) of Ottawa, ON and David Gillis of Slave Lake, AB; one granddaughter, Emilia Gillis; two sisters: Theresa Gillis and Sarah MacKenzie (Gary) all of Amherst, NS; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Verna.
Visitation will occur at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 1-3 PM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 3 PM from Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
