It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Darold Charles DuGray on Monday, January 9, 2023. He passed peacefully surrounded by family.
Darold will be greatly missed by his wife Dorothy Scott, his daughters, Kim (Johnny), Katherine, Renee, Michelle and Richelle, his sons Chris, Dallas and Terry, his stepchildren, Barry, Glenn (Michelle), Shaun, Wendy (Gary), and Buddy, his grandchildren Jade, Tyler, Dustin, Amanda, Willy, Mary, Jody (Joey), James (Fatima), Dustin (Ashley), Jasmine (Vlad), Holley (Keenan), Brandin (Kayla), Tess (Mike), Mitchell (Courtney), Mason, Shay-Lee and Shanna as well as his many cherished great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Darold was predeceased by his sons Kenny and Johnny DuGray, Lennard Winslow, his sister JoAnne, his father Charles and mother Katherine.
Darold was born November 26, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Darold started his work journey as a window washer, alcohol treatment counsellor, and into a sales career that allowed him to travel all across Canada where he made so many friends and acquaintances. In his later years he enjoyed watching boxing, Winnipeg Jets hockey and horse races. He enjoyed his movies with westerns being his favorites.
Darold always preferred to keep things simple, didn’t like complications and wanted to get to the point. “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Concordia and Grace Hospital for the care they provided during these difficult weeks.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Winnipeg at a later date.
