It is with heavy hearts that the family of Darlene ‘Darla’ Mae Hildebrant of Red Deer, Alberta announces her peaceful passing, with her daughters at her side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the age of 65 years. Darla was born in Prince Rupert, British Columbia on February 1, 1958 to Menno and Helen Hildebrant. She spent her early years in Altona, Manitoba, where she got married and had two daughters. They moved to Alberta, and Darla moved to Red Deer, and resided here until her passing. Darla had a few different jobs before she made a career at Warren Sinclair Law Firm for thirty plus years, and that was followed by another law firm for a short time. Darla had a great passion for the violin, for which she took lessons. She also had a love for her dogs. Darla will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Natasha (Ray) of Red Deer and Twighla of Coaldale, Alberta; her three grandchildren and her two great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her siblings, Leonard of Altona, Manitoba, Sharon also of Altona, Lorna (Dave) of Delta, British Columbia and Sylvia (Errol) of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Darla was predeceased by the love of her life, Bob; her parents, her second mom and three sisters. Darla’s family would like to thank the Dr’s and nurses on Unit 22, as well as the Dr’s and nurses on the ICU Unit for the wonderful care that mom received. A Celebration of Darla’s Life will be held at a later date.
