(Employee of Chrysler Canada Ajax Trim Plant and patron of St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church)
After a 12-year battle with cancer, passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on January 5th, 2023 with family by her side at the age of 82. Predeceased by husband Ivo, and by daughters Kristina and Gabriella. Beloved mother of Ivan (D’Arcy) Perkovic of Scarborough, and Stephanie (Ryan) Mattin of Oshawa. Treasured Baka of Ava Jolee, Chase Gibson, Emma Rose and Alexander Ivan. Cherished sister of Milena (the late Vlado) and predeceased by her siblings Mirko (Marija), Milan (Helena), Minka (Dragan), and Anica (Marko). Darinka will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends in Canada, Slovenia and Croatia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 11th, 2023 from 2–4 pm and 7–9 pm at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday January 12th, 2023 at St. Gertrudes Catholic Church (690 King St. E., Oshawa) at 10:30 am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Darinka to Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care would be appreciated.
