Né à Amherst, N.-E., il était fils de Jeannette (Arseneau) et feu Philippe Roy.
Daniel a travaillé en tant que plombier pendant plusieurs années.
Outre sa mère de Bathurst, il laisse dans le deuil trois frères: Jean-Marc Roy (Orise) et Camille Roy tous deux de Petit-Rocher et Allen Roy de Bathurst.
Trois sœurs: Denise Thibodeau (Robert Godin) de Petit-Rocher, Michelle Roy (Guy Martin) de Pointe-Verte et Monique Roy (Alvin LeBreton) de Petit-Rocher Nord.
Ses nièces et neveux: Tania, Christian, Émilie, Nadine, Jessica (sa filleule) et Steven.
Il n’y aura pas de visite à la maison funéraire. Les funérailles auront lieu le mercredi 12 avril à 11h en l’église St.-Polycarpe de Petit-Rocher.
