Daniel Chamaillard
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel Joseph Emile Bruno Chamaillard on June 19, 2023 at 75 years of age at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus. Beloved husband and best friend of Lana Kinnie and loving father to Benjamin Kinnie. Born in Montréal, Quebec to Alice (Lavoie) and Armand Chamaillard (both predeceased). Dear brother to Normand, late Josie, Cheryl (Tony) and Sylvie. Dear brother in-law to Joan Kinnie (Leonard Bonnet), Sandra Benedetti (Jim), Wendy Kinnie, Sheila Kinnie Pootz (Tim) and Brian Kinnie (Holly). Many special nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Daniel completed his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Montréal and then completed both his Civil and Common Law degrees at the University of Ottawa. Daniel had many varying careers over the years from working as a police officer to working in security. He retired from Canada Revenue Agency in June 2009. Daniel was a former hockey referee with the Cumberland Referee Association. After his retirement Daniel worked as a school bus driver to help pass his time up until 2019. Daniel enjoyed travelling, gardening, watching movies, following the Montréal Canadiens and reading a good law decision. He also enjoyed a good joke and loved to laugh but he was at his happiest when he was helping someone out. He was a great family man.
