It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cristina Subang on January 16th, 2023, at the age of 63.
Loving wife to Rizadly Subang. Beloved mother of Aldrin and Jacob. Dear sister of Pamela, Iasagani, Generoso, Remedios, Ernesto, Andres Jr, Jasmin, Agerico, Ricardo and Esmeralda. Will be fondly remembered by all friends and extended family
Cristina arrived to Canada in August 1989 with her parents Andres and Remedios and younger sister, Esmeralda, with hopes of a new beginning in life. She met her Husband Rizaldy in 1993, and got happily married on June 25 1994
Cristina was blessed with 2 boys in Aldrin and Jacob, who gave her the utmost Joy and Happiness. Cristina was a very loving mother who always put her boys first and gave them all her time and care. Rizaldy, Aldrin & Jacob were blessed to have experienced the unconditional loving touch of a wife and mother that Cristina gave every single day.
Cristina loved to sing and always found comfort in music. She was known for her contagious laugh and smile that would always light up any room she walked in.
Cristina fought a hard battle with MSA for the last 4.5 years. All throughout her life, Cristina took on any trial with strength and faith, like any wife and mother only ever could. Her relationship with God only gave her more strength and courage these last few years to fight this tough battle.
She is now well rested and singing and enjoying time with our heavenly father.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. Visitation will take place on Saturday January 21st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Sunday January 22nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday January 23rd in the funeral home at 10am.
